Culture Runs
Art | 26.04.202611 AM
Akademie der Künste, Hanseatenweg
Starting in April, we’re taking you on a culture run every month – and art is up first. We kick off at the Akademie der Künste on Hanseatenweg, where we’ll get a glimpse of the latest exhibition and fuel up with pre-run snacks like energy balls, bananas, and beetroot-ginger shots. After a group warm-up, we head through the Tiergarten – covering three, seven, or eleven kilometers depending on your endurance – passing by the Haus der Kulturen der Welt, discovering a hidden sculpture park, and crossing historic bridges. Art meets running – inspiration and discovery take center stage, not pace.
Berlin is Germany’s cultural capital – and rightfully so. The city is a performance in itself. Our Berlinathon Stage Run takes you into the vibrant scene: to theaters, open-air stages, experimental spaces, and cozy venues in the neighborhoods. Together we discover productions as well as the stories and people behind them. Between spotlight and stride, Berlin’s stage magic unfolds.
Routes
Food | 28.06.202611 AM
After weeks of running together, we take time for something that connects us just as much as running: good food. The Berlinathon Food Run is about flavors and the people who cook, produce, process, and realize visions with food every day. We move – in taste as well – between local and cosmopolitan. Food is more than just fuel: it’s the art of storytelling. Hungry for an adventure?
Music | 26.07.202611 AM
Music and running – an inseparable combination. Music doesn’t just drive us forward, it makes the essence of a place tangible before you truly understand it. Berlin’s connection to music is part of the city’s identity: on our Berlinathon Music Run, sounds carry us through the neighborhoods. We jog past quiet spots, suddenly follow a melody, and eventually land in the rhythmic nightlife of the city, which pulsates nowhere in Europe like it does in Berlin.
Kiez Runs
A new part of the city every week. At your own pace and distance: 3, 7, or 11 kilometers.
Our Berlinathon Kiez Runs are curated every week by the community for the community – always leading us to a new part of Berlin. While running, we discover Berlin’s most authentic facets. Each route carries its own unmistakable energy – just like the neighborhoods themselves. Lace up and head to new corners, new streets, new people. Sweating, we uncover hidden treasures.
Prenzlauer Berg | 17.05.202611 AM
On this Sunday morning we meet for our first Kiez-Run in Prenzlauer Berg, one of Berlin’s most charming neighborhoods. Whether you already know P-Berg or not, this run is here to (re)spark your love for the kiez!
Our routes take us past the prettiest spots, from the Wasserturm to Mauerpark. We run through quiet streets lined with grand pre-war buildings, under canopies of cherry blossoms, and past the bustle of cafés and flea markets.
Routes
Kreuzberg / Neukölln | 14.06.202611 AM
Our second Kiez-Run takes us into the pulsing heart of Berlin! From Schillerkiez to the Landwehrkanal, we discover the diversity and vibrancy that make Berlin what it is. This is real big-city summer — the heated buzz of the streets, the easy joy of hanging out together along the green Maybachufer. We’ll show you the prettiest corners.
Schöneberg | 12.07.202611 AM
“Schön, schöner, Schöneberg” sets the tone for our third Kiez-Run. We discover Schöneberg’s most beautiful corners with that laid-back big-city vibe. The route takes us from Crellekiez through the urban nature of Park am Gleisdreieck to Nollendorfplatz, a hotspot of queer culture in the heart of Berlin.
Expect a stretch that blends calm and energy and shows you the best moments the kiez has to offer.
Community Run | 09.08.202611 AM
You pick the final Kiez-Run! At the previous runs you can vote for your favorite kiez. We’ll explore it together at our last Kiez-Run of the season.
